What is the All-Star LoL Event?

The LoL All-Star Event, also known as ASE, is a worldwide invitation competition from LoL where the people vote for their preferred professional players and vie against each other in different game modes and tournaments.  The League of Legend All-Star Event happened in Barcelona in 2016 and Los Angeles in 2017. There will be many LoL actions in the 2020 event that will be taking place from 18th to December 20.

After a very memorable year, the All-Star event will come back in a new online format. Riot Games will be making sure professionals and influences can play right in the comfort of their home or a local studio. Therefore, a new set up or arrangement includes Underdog Uprising level and Superstar Showdown level.

The Underdog Uprising will start on December 18 and be filled with matches between nearby countries or regions. The teams must be composed of top professionals who are chosen by fanatics. While the Superstar Showdown, on the other hand, will kick off on the 19th to December 20, this is a two-day event. Superstar Showdown will feature superteams from the LPL, LEC, LCS, LCK; due to the online set-up, nearby countries will fight on Summoner’s Rift. The LPL and LCK will play on December 19, while the LEC and the LCS will take place on December 20. An exclusive Red Bull 1v1 competition will happen all through the All-Star weekend.

League of Legend All-Star Event Schedule

LPL and LCK: December 19, Saturday

Non-professionals will fight in a bo1 each on Summoner’s Rift.

The five selected professionals from the LPL and LCK will play in a Bo3 face-off.

The Summoner’s Rift fights will have a twist.

LEC and LCS: December 20- Sunday

Non-professional will fight in a bo1 each on Summoner’s Rift.

The top chosen getters from the LEC and LCS will draft an “ideal team” consisting of 5 players. To mix things up, every captain will choose at least two professionals from every region. The teams will then fight in a Bo3.  What is more, the LEC and LCS pros will be fighting in some non-standard match set-up.

The LoL All-Star voting took place last November 9 to 16, where fans chose their preferred players. This year, fanatics allowed to vote for one pro in every role from as many leagues as they want.
