The Story Behind League of Legends
Games are not created simply as we think it would be. There are lots of processes that it needs to undergo so that it will satisfy the taste of the people. As time passes by, many games are being developed, and not everyone has been very successful in getting the attention of the players. People nowadays have a high standard in the gaming industry since advancements in technology are very progressive. They just don’t involve themselves in games that are not coping up with the trends. So, game developers that have been successful in their field might not make a game so easy without failure. One great example of this is the League of Legends.
League of Legends, as we know, is very popular today especially to the adolescents who mostly spend their time clicking on the computers. The game has been a big hit in the gaming industry, thus, making a considerable place in the time of people. However, if we think that the League of Legends has been a complete success from the very beginning, then we are all mistaken. The journey of this game is not all about success because it also has experienced the hardships that other gaming companies have felt.
The game was inspired by DOTA (Defense of the Ancients) and was founded by Marc Merill and Brandon Beck which were friends in college that studied at the University of Southern California. Before becoming a sensation to gamers, the League of Legends was just a simple blueprint created to the minds of developers. For the first few years, this game was not as good as it is today. No one from the is attracted to this game that not a single person wanted to play this. But the interns in the company cannot do anything about it because they are told to play the League of legends. Jeff Jew, the current producer of the Riot games, was only an intern back then, and he was one of the many who played the game every day. Eventually, the feeling of boredom while playing the game was eliminated. Instead of being forced to play, they already enjoy playing the game without someone telling them to do so. And it so happened six months before the game will be released in public. And on October 27, 2009 the League of Legends was launched where a new beginning was set.
Now, League of Legends have attained the peak of its game, but they continue to develop it for the sake of the players. Millions of people are having fun in this game, and many more will be added. The avenue of the game is like the path that people can take. It shows that no matter how hard life gets, we should keep on believing and never give up on making our dreams come true.
